GROWING SERVICE, FINANCIAL FIRMS SPARK OFFICE LEASING ACTIVITY IN KEY CONEJO VALLEY AREA




WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA - Growing financial and service firms are sparking strong office space leasing activity in a key Conejo Valley area from Calabasas to Thousand Oaks, according to Marc Riches and Cory Richmond, office specialists at Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services.

Riches and Richmond report closing seven recent transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $3.6 million and representing a total of over 28,000 sq. ft. of space.

The largest of the transactions was a lease by a real estate firm for 6200 sq. ft. of space at 31365 Oak Crest Dr., Westlake Village.

The remaining transactions in order of size were 5100 sq. ft. leased by a mortgage group at 4540 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., 4800 sq. ft. leased by a vocational school at 4505 Las Virgenes Rd., Calabasas, 3700 sq. ft. by a financial services company at 4530 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., 3550 sq. ft. leased by a physical therapy group at 351 Rolling Oaks, Thousand Oaks, 2700 sq. ft. leased by an optometrist at 4505 Las Virgenes Rd., Calabasas, and 2350 sq. ft. to be occupied by a software group at 29219 Canwood, Agoura Hills. Riches and Richmond brokered all the leases either on behalf of the lessee or landlord.

"Small business growth is providing substantial impetus to office space demand in Conejo Valley. These companies reflect internal growth within the region, as well as companies relocating from points east seeking modern space, better work and living environments, and free on-site parking," said Riches.
