MOORPARK, CA --
As Honorary Consul General for Malta in California, Hugh Cassar understands a few things
about protocol. He also understands the value of style and quality in the workplace which

At year-end, Cassar,
president and CEO of Kretek International, Inc., reportedly the largest specialty tobacco
company in the U.S., expects to unveil its new 80,000 sq. ft. headquarters in
Moorpark, CA. Concurrently, Cassar has placed his existing headquarters, a 39,896 sq. ft.
corporate facility nearby at 5069 Maureen Lane, Moorpark, CA on the market for lease or
sale, through Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services of Westlake Village, CA.
Tony Principe, executive
vice president of Westcord, is exclusive marketing agent for the Maureen Lane building, a
highly-improved concrete tilt-up structure featuring 12,000 sq. ft. of prime office space.
Both buildings present an ambience rare for industrial facilities. For example, the

Kretek is a family affair. His wife, Keets Cassar, coordinates interior design
for his buildings; Dr. Mark Cassar is chief operating officer, Dr. Sean Cassar serves as
marketing director, and Wendy Cassar is travel coordinator.
Kretek International is a
manufacturer and distributor of speciality tobacco products, including cigarettes, snuff,
cigars, pipes and accessories from around the world. Phillips & King, a
100-year-old company recently acquired by Kretek, serves retailers throughout the United
States. Kretek is a privately-held company employing approximately 150 people.
