CAMARILLO, CA -- What is being described as "the most
prime parcel of commercial property remaining in Camarillo, CA" featuring Highway 101
frontage has been acquired by the City of Camarillo for $6.3 million, announces Westcord
Commercial Real Estate Services.
Tony Principe, executive vice president of Westlake Village-based Westcord, reports that
an 8.47-acre parcel at Ventura Blvd. and Las Posas Rd. adjacent to Camarillo Airport was
sold by Las Posas LLC.
Principe represented the sellers in the transaction. The city represented itself. "In
my view, this is the premium parcel of its kind in Camarillo, being bracketed by the 101,
Camarillo Town Centerand Camarillo Premium Outlets," said Principe.
He emphasized that the CPD-zoned property (Commercial Planned Development) is permitted
for hotel, retail or office use. He added that the city expressed its desire to purchase
the property for a future hotel and conference center, but nothing has been formalized to
his understanding. The property is bounded by the 101 on the north, Las Posas Rd. on the
west and Ventura Blvd. on the east.

Angeles area's top 25 commercial real estate companies with offices in Westlake Village,
