NORTHRIDGE, CA --
Porter Ranch Shopping Center, a fully leased 54,668 sq. ft. center strategically located
in the popular Porter Ranch community, has been sold to the Klein Family Revocable Trust
of Los Angeles for $15.5 million, announces Joe Lopez of Westcord Commercial Real Estate
Services.
Lopez, a broker in the
Westlake Village, CA-based office of Westcord, reports that the Klein Family Revocable
Trust acquired the center located at 19300 and 19344 19363 Rinaldi St. in Porter Ranch.
Lopez represented the
buyers. Edward Hanley and Gregory Brown of Marcus & Millichap represented an
affiliate of Santa Monica-based Doerken Properties, Inc., the seller.
Porter Ranch Shopping
Center is anchored by Whole Foods, U.S. Post Office, Citicorp Savings, Bank of America,
Subway, and Kaiser Pharmacy. The Whole Foods portion of the center, along with facilities
for Jack In The Box and Union 76, were not part of the sale.
Lopez, who has negotiated
the acquisition of numerous commercial centers for the Klein Family trust, including the
Camarillo Auto Plaza in Camarillo, said the trust acquired the Porter Ranch property for
investment and will oversee its manangement.
Porter Ranch Shopping
Center is stragetically located in the midst of the positive demographics of the Porter
Ranch community. The master-planned community features a number of new
neighborhoods, a town center, and additional planned residential and commercial
developments. Located just north of the 118 Freeway, Porter Ranch Shopping Center is near
transportation, industry, and the California State University, Northridge, campus.
