AGOURA HILLS, CA -- Samson Investment Co. of Calabasas, CA has acquired
approximately one acre of residentially-zone land in Agoura Hills, CA and announces plans
to build a gated 19-unit townhome community aimed at young professionals and "empty
nesters", announces Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services.
Tony Principe, executive
vice president of Westlake Village, CA-based Westcord, reports that Samson Investment Co.
purchased property at 5241 Colony Dr. with easy access from the Chesebro Dr. exit of the
Ventura Freeway (101). Principe represented both Samson Investment Co. and DFJ Investments
of Agoura Hills, the seller.
Groundbreaking for the new
townhome community, which will feature three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath homes, is set for this
year, according to Sandra Gibson, new homes director in the San Fernando Valley for
Coldwell Banker. Gibson and Dolly Principe, an agent in the Westlake Village office
of Coldwell Banker, are the sales agents for the development.
Gibson said the two-story townhomes will provide living space ranging from 1600 to 1700
sq. ft. and will accent an Italian motif distinguished by tile roofs, earth toned facades,
and spacious patio/yards. Neil Scribner of Camarillo is the architect. Prices
are expected to be in the low $300,000 range, Gibson said. Among other key features of the
townhomes will be attached garages with direct home access, 200 sq. ft. "bonus
rooms" at garage level suitable for such special uses as exercise rooms and wine
cellars, generously landscaped arbors, granite counters, and vaulted ceilings in master
bedrooms and living rooms.
For homebuyer convenience,
Gibson emphasized that Samson Investment Co. is establishing design centers in the San
Fernando Valley and Westlake Village areas where design services will be offered.
Westcord is one of the Los
Angeles area's top 25 commercial real estate companies with offices in Westlake Village,
CA, and Van Nuys, CA.
