THOUSAND OAKS, CA -- WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA -- Boulderdash
Indoor Rock Climbing Studio, reportedly the only climbing gym of its kind between Los
Angeles and San Luis Obispo, will open in Westlake Village, CA during July after signing a
lease for 7000 sq. ft. of high-identity space at the Watercourt mixed-use complex here,
announces Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services.

Climbing Studio signed a seven-year lease valued at approximately $1 million at
Watercourt, strategically located on Hampshire Rd., just south of the Ventura Freeway.

Richmond, commercial real estate specialists for Westlake Village-based Westcord,
represented Boulderdash. Tony Principe, executive vice president of Westcord,
represented the landlord.
According to Christiaan
Luneberg, who along with Paul Farkas is a principal of Boulderdash, the company offers
rock climbing workouts for the novice as well as the "big wall ace".
"We offer fun and
challenge for climbers of all ages. For families, climbing is one sport where you
can truly interact with one another. Climbing is a full body workout as well
as an exciting recreational activity which is one of the nation's fastest growth
sports. Moreover, we emphasize safety and exceptional customer service," said
Luneberg.
He added the Boulderdash
will feature a large air conditioned climbing area with over 10,000 sq. ft. of sculpted
climbing surface that is continually altered to ensure "new and exciting
challenges".
Luneberg noted that
beginning climbers can rise up 25-foot tall surfaces, while the main climbing area rises
to 45 feet including slab, arêtes and roofs. It will be one of the tallest indoor
gyms in the country, he said.
Facilities also include
dressing and locker area, soda/sport drinks and snack areas, multi-purpose rooms, pro
shop, restrooms, and complete gear rentals.
