MOORPARK, CA -- Kretek International's former headquarters in Moorpark, CA, a
custom-designed facility that takes industrial building ambience to a new level with such
features as an arched foyer and mosaic tile in common areas, has been acquired by
principals of MPO Videotronics for the firm's relocation from Newbury Park, CA, announces
Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services. Tony Principe, executive vice president of Westlake Village,
CA-based Westcord, reports that MPO Videotronics Principal Lawrence Kaiser paid $3.1
million for the 40,000 sq. ft. building located at 5069 Maureen Lane in Moorpark. Principe
represented Kretek International, the sellers. The buyers represented themselves.
Established in 1947, MPO
Videotronics is a leading production film company with special expertise in custom
video/audio system designs and complete, full service installations. During the past
decade, MPO developed the largest and thinnest projection wall system of its time -- known
as Videorama. Today, MPO's expanded line of videowall products reportedly pace the
industry for size, thinness, price and quality. MPO Videotronics is currently occupying
its new facility.
The company has other
offices in Portland, Oregon and New York City. MPO's new facility also features a spacious
cafeteria, large executive offices, oak paneling, and an executive wing reached via the
foyer. The fully air conditioned, concrete tilt-up building includes a 24-foot-clear
warehouse. Kretek International, a manufacturer and distributor of specialty tobacco
products, recently initiated occupancy of its new, similarly upgraded, 80,000 sq. ft.
headquarters, also in Moorpark.
Westcord is one of the Los
Angeles area's top 25 commercial real estate companies with offices in Westlake Village,
CA, and Van Nuys, CA. |
