FILLMORE, CA --
A free-standing, 20,000 sq. ft. building in Fillmore, CA has been acquired by The Klein
Family Trust of Brentwood, CA and will be occupied by Fillmore Dollar Store following
rehabilitation, announces Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services.
Officials of Westlake
Village, CA-based Westcord report that The Klein Family Trust paid $1 million for the
building located at 745 W. Ventura St., which is part of a community shopping center.
Joe Lopez of Westcord
represented the buyers. Don Swanson and Bruce Hamous of Westcord represented Downey
Savings and Loan, the seller, as well as Fillmore Dollar Store in their three-year lease
valued at $326,000. Lopez also represented the new owners in that lease.
Fillmore Dollar Store
schedules a May 1 opening. Principals of Fillmore Dollar Store are based in
Bakersfield, CA and also own several 7/Eleven stores. Swanson noted that Super A
Grocery Stores is also a key tenant in the Fillmore center.
