WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA - - Signaling its initial expansion
outside of Santa Barbara County, Montecito Bank & Trust plans a July opening of a new
branch office in Westlake Village, CA, according to Westcord Commercial Real Estate
Services.
Cheri Honig, a commercial
real estate specialist in the Westlake Village office of Westcord, reports that Montecito
Bank & Trust has leased 2050 sq. ft. of space at the Westlake Plaza community shopping
center at 968-10 Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.
Honig represented Montecito
Bank & Trust in the five-year lease. Regency Centers, owners of the 141,065 sq. ft.
Westlake Plaza, which is anchored by Longs Drugs, represented itself. "This is our
first branch office in Ventura County, though we have been making business loans and
providing trust and investment services here for many years," said Rodney K. Brown,
president and CEO of Montecito Bank & Trust. "We are looking forward to
bringing our proven community banking philosophy to Westlake Village. The
demographics of this community closely resemble our traditional service area."
Established in 1975 as The Bank of Montecito, Montecito Bank & Trust has grown to over
$500 million in assets.
In addition to the new
Westlake Village location, the bank has branch offices in Carpenteria, Goleta, Montecito
and Santa Barbara, Valley Oaks Bank in Solvang, a trust division in Montecito, and
mortgage banking offices in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Solvang.
