WESTLAKE VILLAGE,
CA -- While many commercial real estate companies are pulling in their horns in
the wake of slowed industry, Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services of Westlake Village,
CA is in an expansive mood.
Tony Principe,
executive vice president of Westcord, announces that Joe Lopez, an 18-year veteran of
commercial real estate estate specializing in retail and automotive properties, has joined
the Westlake Village office.
Lopez, who previously
managed Westcord's Van Nuys, CA office, is "widely regarded as a leading marketer of
retail and automotive space in the Conejo and San Fernando Valleys. We are delighted
to have Joe as part of our growing marketing team," Principe said. Principe noted
that the addition of Lopez increases the number of marketing specialists in the Westlake
office to 14, the largest in the company's history. "We're ramping up while others
are contracting," Principe said.
Commenting on his new post, Lopez said: "Eastern Ventura County, in particular, is a
high-demand area for retail and automotive facilities. Yet, there is less than a
three percent vacancy rate for automotive space and virtually no retail space available on
such key thoroughfares as Thousand Oaks Boulevard. The quality communities in this
area call for top flight, measured development of such facilities."
A resident of Westlake
Village, Lopez is a member of the American Industrial Real Estate Association (A.I.R.) and
International Council Of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Westcord is one of the Los
Angeles area's top 25 commercial real estate companies with offices in Westlake Village,
CA, and Van Nuys, CA.
